Line-scan cameras and Area cameras
● Industrial cameras primarily consist of area cameras and line-scan cameras.
● Area cameras capture two-dimensional images, much like a standard camera.
● Line-scan cameras feature a single row of sensors; they capture images of the object line-by-line—similar to a document scanner—and generate a complete image by stitching these lines together.
